As a Maintenance Officer at Vacation Niseko, you will help keep our accommodation properties safe, comfortable, and ready for guests throughout the year. This is a hands-on role that includes regular property maintenance, basic repairs, inspections, snow removal, and general site upkeep across our managed properties. You will also help identify maintenance issues, respond to urgent repair needs, and coordinate with external contractors when specialist support is required. This role is well suited to someone practical, reliable, and proactive, with a good eye for detail and the ability to respond flexibly to different tasks each day.
- Carry out regular maintenance across Vacation Niseko-managed accommodation properties
- Perform basic repairs and inspections for building interiors and exteriors
- Check and maintain property equipment, facilities, and common areas
- Support maintenance of electrical systems, IT/internet infrastructure, boilers, hot springs, and related facilities
- Carry out snow removal and general site upkeep when required
- Identify, report, and respond to urgent repair or maintenance issues
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when specialist work is needed
- Help ensure properties are safe, comfortable, and ready for guests at all times
- Business level Japanese reading and writing
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
- English communication skills are a plus
- A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and repairs
- Ability to respond flexibly to changing tasks and urgent situations
- Good communication skills when working with team members, guests, and external contractors
- Maintenance-related skills or qualifications, such as plumbing or electrical experience, are a plus
- Valid working visa for Japan (visa sponsorship possible for the right candidate)
- Monthly salary: ¥230,000 – ¥280,000 (plus annual discretionary bonus)
