Shop Assistant (Seasonal Winter Position: Approx. Nov 2025 – Mar 31, 2026)

Sansui Niseko is a luxury hotel located in the beautiful ski resort area of Niseko, Hokkaido.
We are currently seeking a Shop Assistant to provide exceptional service to our international guests at the hotel’s in-house shop. The role involves assisting with sales, light food and beverage service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Experience in cafés, retail, or customer-facing service is highly valued. We are looking for individuals who are attentive to detail, take pride in their work, and are committed to delivering a high level of hospitality.
- Open and close the shop, operate the cash register, serve light meals and beverages, and assist guests as needed
- Support inventory management, ordering, and merchandise displays
- Keep the shop clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
- Provide friendly, thoughtful service to ensure a quality guest experience
- Communicate effectively and work closely with other departments
- Help maintain a safe and comfortable working environment
- Follow instructions from supervisors and carry out duties safely
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Business-level English and Japanese or Chinese
- Experience in hotel front office or guest services preferred
- Honest, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented individuals
- Flexible and cooperative team players
- Professional attitude and strong work ethics
Competencies or Skills:
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Experience in café, food service, or retail is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Hourly wage: ¥1,500
- Daily meal allowance
- Paid single-occupancy staff dormitory
- Half-area Niseko United lift pass or lift pass allowance (winter season)
