Whiteroom is fueled by our ethos of ‘Powder, Culture, Adventure,’ with this role being a key position in the sales team helping our clients secure their dream Japan snow adventure. A successful candidate will combine their love of snow travel with sales and administration work throughout the year in a full-time position based in Niseko, Japan. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a demonstrated sales ability, a clear passion for skiing and snowboarding alongside a love of Japan. Having a deep understanding of Japan, being lateral thinking with the ability to multitask are key skills required during the booking and operational seasons. Combining a friendly and approachable mindset with strong communication skills will be essential for not only our staff but also for the upkeep of the highest standards of customer service whilst being efficient and technologically savvy. An ideal candidate will be a person who wishes to work within a close-knit team of travel and snow professionals in a fast-paced dynamic environment to create and deliver amazing experiences for our clients. We are looking for a Sales Consultant ideally with industry experience to join our dynamic team.
- A passion for skiing and snowboarding with a strong knowledge of the Hokkaido region is preferred.
- Previous experience in the outdoor or travel industry is preferred.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High level of computer and administrative skills.
- Clear customer service-focused mindset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to work independently and problem-solve.
- Be adaptable – while we plan for a smooth running operation, unforeseen situations can arise.
- High level of self-motivation.
- Bilingual - English fluency essential & Japanese preferred but not necessary.
