Explore Niseko is currently seeking a friendly, punctual, and reliable individual to join our team as our Operations Team Leader for the upcoming winter season. In this essential role, you will support our Operations team daily operation, liaising between team members and management, as well as performing the team’s administrative tasks and operational duties. As a Team Leader, you will be the role model for our Operations Team, modelling excellent attitude and manners both with the team and with guests. Your professionalism, flexibility, and attention to detail will play a key role in delivering the exceptional service that Explore Niseko is known for.
- Lead the Operations team, providing support and guidance to the staff in terms of operations and guest service.
- Perform administrative tasks related to the operation of the team, like team scheduling, daily routes, etc.
- Ensure that all vehicles are operational, perform basic maintenance, and report issues to management.
- Safely transport guests to and from various destinations within the Niseko area, including ski resorts, activities, and local attractions
- Provide a warm and friendly welcome to guests, assisting with ski gear and other belongings
- Conduct timely pick-ups and drop-offs for a variety of Explore Niseko tours and experiences
- Coordinate and adapt driving schedules based on daily operational needs and tour bookings
- Support the booking consultants with logistics, guest communication, and on-the-ground coordination
- Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and meet all safety standards at all times
- Offer guests accurate, helpful information about local activities, attractions, and amenities
- Respond to guest inquiries with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of guest services
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning duties with vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
- Perform other tasks as requested by management.
- Valid International Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Confident and capable driving skills; experience driving in snowy or winter conditions is strongly preferred
- Previous experience working in a ski resort or similar hospitality environment is an advantage
- Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused personality with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage comfortably with international guests
- Flexible availability, including willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Prior experience in customer service or the hospitality industry is preferred
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills, particularly Japanese, are a plus
