Rising Sun Guides is a professional backcountry guiding company based in Niseko.
We offer a range of services including single-day backcountry tours, multi-day packages, CAT skiing, avalanche safety courses, and rental equipment for backcountry adventures.

About the role

Rising Sun Guides is seeking a reliable and well-organized Administrative Assistant to support our operations year-round. This is currently a part-time position, with the potential to transition to full-time based on mutual agreement. During the off-season, the role will be fully remote. In the winter operating season (December to March), some tasks will be carried out at the guide office, but remote work will remain the primary mode of operation.

Main tasks
  • Translation services (English ↔ Japanese)
  • Bookkeeping and basic accounting skills (experience preferred but not required)
  • Operation and management of accounting software
  • Communication with domestic and international suppliers
  • Reservation and management of accommodation bookings
About you
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English (native Japanese speaker preferred)
  • Bookkeeping experience and knowledge are a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficient with accounting software and office tools
  • Able to work independently and adapt to a flexible schedule
