Natsuki Kubo

In 1984, Born in Kyouwa, Hokkaido. At age of 7 she started studying Japanese calligraphy under Zuiho Sato who is a master calligrapher. After receiving numerous calligraphy awards. In 2012 she moved her main base of activities to Sapporo. This was when her challenge started to present modern calligraphy which is borderless and alive. She collaborated her work with various area including music, costumes, light, food and dance. Since her stay at Chicago, U.S. in 2014 visited U.S. five times where she joined special group exhibitions including those held at Japanese embassy in Chicago and also at famous performance stage Links Hall where she performed over 3 days period with local musician and dancers. In 2019 she moved to Tsukigata. Her original inspiration comes from all of the small parts in her daily life and vast nature of Hokkaido.
