THINGS TO DO: What to do in Niseko (summer and winter)
Niseko is situated at the base of a dormant volcano – Mount Yotei, and next to one the most beautiful rivers in Japan – the Shiribetsu River and, as such, is well positioned to offer a variety of exciting summer and winter activities that can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.

In spring, having lain under the icy snow for six months of the year, the Hokkaido landscape awakens and bursts in to life. While famous for a high annual snowfall and winter sports, Niseko is equally well-known for offering outdoor activities that take place against the backdrop of the beautiful summer landscape and firey autumn scenery. Although skiing and snowboarding is a popular choice for many visitors, the area offers a multitude of ways to enjoy Hokkaido’s great outdoors.
