“Hatsumoude” is the first visit of the year to a Shinto shrine. While you’re in Japan, why not experience the New Year in a traditional Japanese way?
Yamada Shrine is located in the Hirafu area (please see the map below) and will welcome visitors who wish to pray for happiness in the coming year.
Those who visit the shrine between midnight and 2am on 1st January 2017 will be offered free “sacred sake”! Yakitori, sweet sake (traditional New Year’s drink), and butajiru (pork miso soup) stalls will be on site, too!
Come and see Santa in AYA hotel on Christmas Day! Santa will be in the lobby between 1pm-3pm; having photos taken and giving gifts to children and grown-ups too!
Niseko Kid's Club is also FREE all morning! 8.30-12pm. Everyone can see Santa, but please book Kid's Club in advance to avoid disappointment.
