Niseko wins all categories for Japan at World Ski Awards 2014!!
The 2nd Annual World Ski Award winners were announced in Kitzbühel, Austria, and Niseko United honorably won Japan's Best Ski Resort for the second consecutive year.
Launched in 2012, World Ski Awards aims to drive up standards within the ski industry by rewarding the organisations that are leaders in their field. World Ski Awards is the sister organisation of World Travel Awards, often referred to as "the Oscars of the travel industry".
This year, the following local facilities received respective awards, along with Mr. Akio Shinya, the chief of Niseko Avalanche Research Institute, for his tremendous efforts over many years to maintain Niseko as the safest ski resort ever as well as his contribution to a growth of Asia's ski industry. The winners are as follows:
Japan's Best Boutique Hotel 2014
*The Vale Niseko won Japan's Best Ski Chalet 2013
