Kutchan Jaga Matsuri (Potato Festival)

The biggest summer event in town includes traditional festival parades, fun games for kids, dancing, music, and performances for everyone!

3rd Niseko HANAZONO Hill Climb
This bicycle road race starts in the center of Kutchan town and finishes at Niseko Annupuri Goshiki-onsen. The course extends over 15.5km with an average gradient of 4.6% (620 meters of elevation change). This year, Japanese actor and cyclist Shingo Tsurumi will participate in the race as well as the pre-event party.

2nd Hirafu Matsuri
The Hirafu Matsuri is Niseko’s unique international take on the classic Japanese Bon Odori festival and includes fireworks, Taiko drumming, and a bonfire along with a range of stalls selling all the classic Japanese festival foods and drinks. Don’t forget your yukata!

A popular annual marathon event that takes place during Niseko’s beautiful autumn leaf season.

Niseko Festival 2012
The Niseko area covers a wide area, including Kutchan town, Niseko town, and Rankoshi town, and the Niseko Festival aims to give everyone a chance to enjoy the plentiful autumn foods, scenery, and music. Various flea markets will be held, as well.
