Development continues in Asia’s “hottest” ski resort!

Despite a couple of years that have shaken resorts globally, Niseko continues to look towards the future. A drive through the area in the green season reveals a wealth of construction and development sites at varying stages of the process. There are some big names on the horizon, and some very enticing projects.
The picture above is of the former Yamada Onsen as it falls to the demolition crew. Crowning Hirafu-zaka as it does, this two acre site is arguably the best positioned land in the area.
Rumours are all we have to go on at the moment but they hint at a small, gated collection of exclusive freestanding homes. We eagerly await plans and details, but in the meantime stay tuned… we’ll let you know as soon as it is released.
