Grand Hirafu Bike Challenge on 4&5 July a success!

The annual Grand Hirafu Bike Challenge on the weekend was a great success. With around 20 riders from all over Hokkaido (Sapporo, Tomokomai, Furano), Saturday was the practice day and Sunday was the race day. With great summer weather, the 20 riders participated in the challenging course which was designed by two local trail builders.
It was a tight win with the winners only seconds apart. The men`s seniors winners were Koji Takeuchi at 4.00.53 and second place went to Takashi Madokoro at 4.00.35! Three women participated and the winner was Orie Watanabe at 4.42.04. Winners received some great prizes. Thanks to Grand Hirafu and Niseko MTB for hosting the event. We look forward to the next event in September!
